About SGA

As the Student Government Association (SGA), we are here to:

  • Respond and resolve issues or concerns expressed by the student body.
  • Support student feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between the students and the administration.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of conditions conductive to student success, student learning and an enriched extracurricular environment.
  • Act on matters which promote the general welfare of the student body.
  • Ensure Student Activity and Service fees that are allocated and used to support the extracurricular and co-curricular interests of the student body as a whole.

Tommy McCall

Tommy is a Tallahassee native. He attended North Florida Christian School before enrolling at TCC in the Summer of 2021. He is a member of the Honors Program, Black Male Achievers, and the Scholars Program. When Tommy graduates from TCC in the Spring of 2023, he plans to transfer to Florida State to study Sports Management.

Júlia Fernandes Bugarin

Júlia was born in Rio de Janeiro and grew up in São Paulo, Brazil. She is a member of the International Student Organization, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Honors Program, Sister to Sister, and the STEM Program. After graduation from TCC, Júlia plans to transfer to the University of Florida or the University of Miami with the goal of becoming a pediatric surgeon.

Makaira Skeete

Makaira is a native of nearby Quincy, Florida. She graduated from Gadsden County High School and started at TCC in the Fall of 2021. She is a member of the Honors Program and Sister to Sister. Upon graduation from TCC in the Spring of 2023, Makaira plans to transfer to Florida State to major in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences.

The Florida College System Student Government Association (FCSSGA) represents the nearly one million students enrolled in the Florida College System's 28 colleges. The organization promotes legislative advocacy and training, leadership development, service learning, promotion of campus activities, and strong citizenship.

Our Mission
To unify the member colleges in order to best attend to the appropriate concerns of the students of the Florida College System and serve as a vehicle to communicate these concerns to the Florida Legislature.
